In a previous post, I shared an interview with Norman Doidge, M.D. where he talks about Moshe Feldenkrais, creator of the Feldenkrais Method®. In that interview, Dr. Doidge also talks about a woman called Elizabeth.
(Dr. Doidge dedicated an entire chapter to Moshe in his highly-acclaimed book, The Brain’s Way of Healing, Remarkable Discoveries and Recoveries from the Frontiers of Neuroplasticity.)
They Said She Would Never Walk or Talk
Elizabeth was born with one-third of her cerebellum missing. Because of her condition, medical specialists believed she would never be able to walk or talk. According to conventional medicine, her future was determined at birth and she would just have to live with it.
Below, you can watch the true story of Elizabeth and how the Feldenkrais Method® helped her grow into a beautiful woman with an amazingly full life.
Elizabeth is Living Proof
The video shows the impact the Feldenkrais Method® had on Elizabeth’s life. As you watch it, imagine how the Feldenkrais movement lessons can impact your life.
